RSD Polytec: Mastering Automation in Manufacturing

The Client

RSD Polytec GmbH, based in Efringen-Kirchen in southern Germany, has stood for precision and passion in plastics engineering and mould making since 2013. Taking a holistic view of the product lifecycle, the company supports its clients from the initial idea through to series production. Its focus is on manufacturing plastic injection moulds and producing plastic parts in its own injection moulding shop.

The Challenge

RSD Polytec already used Autodesk Fusion for CAD work, for example to derive electrodes. However, the platform's full potential – particularly in CAM – remained untapped. The goal: make CAM programming more efficient, streamline processes and align production consistently with digital workflows. Integrating measuring and probing cycles on the machines, as well as reliable 5-axis simultaneous machining, were especially important. For this step, RSD Polytec was looking for a partner with genuine manufacturing expertise.
