Contract CAM Programming for Your CNC Production
Manufacturing know-how meets CAM expertise
Available capacity, right away
Staff absence, a spike in orders or a rush job: our CAM specialists step in at short notice – with no ramp-up time.
Optimised cycle times
We don't just program parts to run – we program them to run efficiently. Machining strategies that reduce cycle times, especially noticeable on series and repeat parts.
Software and manufacturing from one team
Not just a programming service provider: we deliver software, post processors and manufacturing know-how from a single team.
When outsourced CAM programming pays off
Many job shops and manufacturers with in-house CNC production know the situation well: an experienced programmer is out, a complex 5-axis part exceeds in-house know-how, or the order backlog leaves no time for clean programming. The result is machine downtime, rework or declined orders. Our contract CAM programming closes this gap – quickly, reliably and with no long-term commitment.
Your Challenges
- Staff shortages
- Complex parts
- Order spikes
- Missing specialist knowledge
Here's how we approach contract CAM programming for you:
1. Project briefing and data handover
You describe your requirements and provide us with the necessary files: CAD data for the part, tool list, details on workholding, and machine type and controller. If needed, we agree on a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) beforehand.
2. Effort estimate and scheduling
After the initial discussion, we estimate the time and effort required. You receive a binding quote with a clear delivery date.
3. Programming, simulation and quality assurance
Our specialists create the CAM program in Autodesk Fusion or PowerMill. Every program is simulated and checked for collisions before it reaches your production floor.
4. Handover and briefing
You receive the finished CAM project with machining strategies, toolpaths and NC code. In a phone briefing, we explain to your machine operator what to watch out for when running the program in.

Why AURON Is the Right Partner for Your Contract Programming
As a specialised Autodesk partner, we combine CAM software, our own post processors and hands-on manufacturing expertise. That's what sets us apart from pure programming service providers.
Our technicians come from the industry and know the challenges at the machine first-hand. We work with Fusion and PowerMill – the same systems many of our clients use. And because we develop the post processors ourselves, the NC code fits your machine and controller exactly.
For job shops, this means: you can accept orders that exceed your in-house capacity or specialist knowledge – without hiring additional staff.
For manufacturers with in-house CNC production, this means: bottlenecks in work preparation no longer hold up production.

What Our Clients Say About Us

"What impressed us most was that all our projects and suggestions were always implemented quickly. You could tell that our contacts at AURON got straight to work. Everything ran smoothly – organisationally and, above all, on a personal level. Having a mid-sized company like AURON at our side meant that a personal relationship developed quickly. That means a lot to us."

FAQs
Frequently asked questions about our CAM contract programming services – and the answers.
We need the CAD data for your part (STEP, Fusion or PowerMill project), your tool list with available tools and holders, details on workholding, and machine type and controller. Existing programming structures or specifications, if available, also help us.
Typically a few days to about a week – depending on the complexity of the part and the availability of our specialists. We clarify the specific timeline in the initial discussion.
That depends on the post processor. If you already use or purchase an AURON post processor, we post the code directly. If you work with a third-party post processor, we hand over the CAM project and you generate the NC code yourself.
The machine operator holds final responsibility when running in the program. We deliver a simulated, verified program and brief your operator by phone on what to watch out for.
If requested, we agree on a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before you hand over your data. Confidentiality is standard practice for us.
We program for all common CNC milling and turning machines – from 3-axis to 5-axis simultaneous, including mill-turn centres. Our experience covers machines from Hermle, DMG, Mazak and many other manufacturers with Heidenhain, Siemens and Fanuc controllers.
