Post Processor Development for Your CNC Production
Less downtime and risk, more throughput
NC code that runs right away
Programs run on the machine without manual editing. Less downtime, faster setup times.
Reduced crash risk
Every manual change to NC code is a potential source of error. Custom post processors minimise this risk.
Consistent standards
Consistent code structures across different machines make onboarding easier and reduce errors.
Why AURON is your partner for Autodesk post processors
For more than 11 years, we have developed custom post processors for manufacturing companies – over 500 to date, for a wide range of machines and controllers. We work closely with manufacturers such as Hermle, Exeron, OPS Ingersoll and Röders.
Our post processors are built on our own templates, not on generic Autodesk defaults. That means a deeper understanding of machine logic and more flexibility for special requirements.
CAM software we work with

- InventorCAM
Our Services
We develop post processors for Autodesk software and your CNC machine, and support you from requirements gathering through to final acceptance at the machine.
NC code that runs directly on your machine – without rework.
We analyse your machines, controllers and shop-floor standards, and develop post processors tailored to them. We support you from the initial requirements gathering to final acceptance at your machine – including documentation and operator briefing.
- Post processors for milling, turning and mill-turn operations (including 5-axis simultaneous)
- Support for multi-channel machines and special kinematics
- Implementation of manufacturer-specific cycles
- Tool breakage monitoring, axis clamping
- Interfaces for tool management and process data export (e.g. Zoller)
- Machine-room simulation, including parameterised auxiliary movements
Step by step to a perfectly tailored post processor.
Here's how we approach post processor development for you:
- Machine data collection: You fill out our online questionnaire – machine manufacturer, model, controller type, year of manufacture, machining operations and more. This gives us all the basic data we need for development.
- Prototype development: Based on the information gathered, we build a first functional post processor that covers all defined requirements.
- Testing and finalisation: You test the generated NC programs on your machine. We evaluate your feedback and refine the post processor until all acceptance criteria are met. For extensions or special requests, you receive a flexible point allowance you can use as needed.
- Training: We train your CAM programmers on how to use the post processor, so your team can post confidently and independently.

FAQs
Frequently asked questions about our post processor development – and the answers.
AURON develops custom post processors for all Autodesk CAM products: Fusion, PowerMill, FeatureCAM, and InventorCAM. We cover all common combinations of machines (e.g. Hermle, DMG, Mazak, Index) and controllers (e.g. Heidenhain, Siemens, Fanuc).
We tailor every post processor individually to your machine and your production requirements. This is based on a post processor questionnaire, in which you provide all the relevant technical information. Once we've reviewed your input, our development team builds the matching post processor. If we need further details during development, we coordinate directly with you to ensure the best possible implementation.
Yes. We support you in validating the post processor during machine commissioning – on-site with a technician or online as part of a guided commissioning process. You are only billed for the time actually spent (plus travel expenses).
Yes. After delivery, we continue to adjust and optimise the post processor as needed – tailored to your real parts, machining strategies and production processes. For technical questions and fine-tuning, you also have access to support allowances and direct contact with our development team.
Yes. We create a complete 3D machine simulation model – including machine kinematics, machine geometry and relevant auxiliary movements. This enables reliable collision checking and significantly increases safety during programming and verification. This requires you to provide the necessary models and information.
Yes. We test, validate and optimise the post processor specifically before your production start, to ensure a high level of reliability and process safety. On request, we also support you on-site during commissioning, so your production start goes smoothly and securely.
